　　加州大學伯克利分校 (UCB)終身正教授

　　Slav導師現任加州大學伯克利分校終身正教授，在加州大學伯克利分校從事物理可持續(xù)性、環(huán)境統(tǒng)計分析方向的授課和研究工作，曾任歐洲科學與藝術學院(European Academy of Sciences and Arts)地球系統(tǒng)保護研究所研究員，榮獲舊金山灣區(qū)加州水環(huán)境協(xié)會研究成果獎(Research Achievements Award)，獲評中國“千人計劃”國家高端外國專家、清華-伯克利深圳學院(TBSI)共同副院長和創(chuàng)始首席核心科學家，應邀至慕尼黑工業(yè)大學、奧地利維也納自然資源與生命科學大學等世界知名學府擔任客座教授。

　　Professor Slav teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in water pollution control including a capstone design class. He is also working on metrics of sustainable development with particular applications for engineering decision-making and water reuse. His other research interests include complexity, chaotic dynamics and fractal geometry with applications to engineering, science and business. He has been involved in many international projects.

　　現今，國際社會不僅面臨著巨大的能源損耗，還面臨著愈發(fā)嚴峻的極端天氣和由此衍生的地緣、政治以及經濟問題。雖然可持續(xù)性已成為當代受熱烈討論的話題，但對于如何將這些概念轉化為政策、技術、經濟和環(huán)境領域的決策和行動，卻仍需在建立普遍共識的前提下進一步探討。項目將從道德、動力學、技術等不同角度檢視能源環(huán)境與發(fā)展的綜合議題，探究諸多可能與變化，跨越學科提出解決策略與方法。

　　項目內容將貫徹可持續(xù)發(fā)展的理念和學科概念、探討可持續(xù)發(fā)展所涉及的不同類型領域，例如新能源技術、生態(tài)環(huán)境的影響、自然生態(tài)人類福祉、能源產品的價值等。其中項目還包含能源的成本量化計算——這項內容在發(fā)展一項新興能源技術時將起到關鍵作用，利于我們評估這項技術的可行性、社會價值、經濟效益、發(fā)展前景等。The content of the project will implement the concept and discipline concept of sustainable development, and explore the different types of fields involved in sustainable development, such as new energy technology, the impact of ecological environment, natural ecology and human well-being, the value of energy products, etc. The project also includes quantific
